Promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention through art, education, and outreach.

Inspired by Katie

Her Vision. Our Mission. Your Community.

Katie Whysong was more than a talented artist; she was a dreamer who believed that art could heal. Even while navigating her own journey with depression and anxiety, Katie envisioned a world where visual art served as a lifeline—spreading messages of hope and resilience across school hallways and town squares.

Though we lost Katie to suicide in 2021 at the age of 15, her spark remains. The Positive Painting Project is the living realization of her idea, and the Arts for Hope Initiative is the legacy of a young woman who wanted everyone to know they are not alone and they matter.
